Tradersaavy: Is posting some good charts on this thread. For those trying to learn something, take a look at what he is doing. ETLURKER, dkm, MAESTRO: WHAT aaaare you doing??
I am demonstrating synthetic trendlines "working" as a response to the topic "Do trendlines work ?". The topic of this thread is not "Post something that will help those trying to learn something".
I think I can presume that you and I may have different definitions of the term "working". Isn't the whole point of ET to learn and/or educate others?
How many members actually take an initiative to step up to the plate and do some educating? Practically none! And when they do, they are slandered since learners are quick to lash out and deam the educator to be wayward for x,y,z reasons. Forums are supposed to be open exchanges, preferably bi-lateral. Surely, one cannot expect something in return for giving nothing in return. I understand the unilateral nature of trading info. As a result it biases the majority to only learning something, as opposed to learning and teaching something (ie. protecting valuable information)... BSAM, you stated previously, "Yes" to "Do trendlines work?". Lurker and Maestro give what is undeniably a better quality answer and say yes and then go beyond the simple call of duty by posting a chart. Actually, Maestro was on both sides. You previously argued that your statement of "Yes" was a sufficient quality answer to "Do trendlines work?". And I respected your answer as a sufficient BSAM answer. Lurker provides support to your answer with a chart and suddenly his chart is not sufficient enough to deam that trends work??? He is entitled to his own wishes just as you were to yours. What gets me is why being critical of Lurker's "YES" response AND supporting chart is ok, but inquiring of your "YES" is not ok. Is Lurker's response of "YES" with a chart a lower quality response than just your simple "YES"? If there were just 90 pages of just "YES", what would anyone learn from this thread. The point being is that surely, one cannot expect more from someone else then what they themselves are willing to offer. This is not a negative post. Just an observation... As always, Kindest Regards...
