What's that old cliche? One man's trash..... Surfer, I think maybe you are playing the contrarian and you don't want others to find out about trendlines. CAUSE I KNOW YOU AIN'T STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I like to use trendlines like clotheslines. That is in clotheslining the opposition. Nice to see price move above or below line squeezing those wrong way traders into capitulation.
OK, either you are posting redundant questions to be funny or you have not read some of the posts here. Actually, I replied to you directly a couple of posts back AND I have offered two different scenarios in real time showing how trendlines could have been used for trading. So, if you are sincerely interested in productive dialogue regarding the utilization of trendlines then ask any specific questions that you have and I am sure that those who feel that they have something valuable to offer will do their best.
But doesn't Jack address "Pace" which in essence is simplified Bid/Ask analysis. If there is a temporary order imbalance the pace of the market will pick up. Velocity would be directly proportional to the degree of order imbalance. The extreme would be air pockets. Yes? So is pace a simpler better Bid/Ask analysis?
That is an interesting way to look at it. I would have disagreed on first principles, but the reality is that when volume is screaming, it's mostly popping off in one direction. However, I am interested in anomalous situations where there is direction but no price change, little or no direction at all, a strong direction making a strong change, or direction contrary to the price move. I hope Jack isn't reading this, for he will cry out "imbecilic edge seeker!".
Acknowledged. B/A clearly has utility. I love to see price get pumped up in a downward channel then the bids disappear and the few slow limit orders get nailed on the juke down before the asks get hit.
