Do Trendlines work?

  1. And BTW, Jack, I told you once before that your single quadrant model is flawed. When the direction reverses, you need a SECOND DIFFERENT quad to describe it. Not that either is correct. I'm outa here. Left my waders at home.

  2. You read Jack's posts and admit they have profited you yet you contribute nothing in return. Too bad your need for attention overrides all else you do here.

Perhaps you can distract yourself with this and leave the learning to others.

  3. Quick Q icarus. On your attachment, I am somewhat certain in reasoning that the top left quadrant is the buy condition for the following scoring reason. If you buy in the bottom right quadrant, you are in the scenario where the change in volume is decreasing and the price displacement is negative. The duration of any quadrant is not necessarily known. In shifting from the bottom right quadrant to the upper left quadrant, volume shifts from decreasing to 0 to increasing as does price. Thus the bottom right quadrant would presumably be the anticipation of a buy since it is what is next in the cycle progression. Unless one is timing the exact bottom of a cycle right before the shift to increasing P and V, it would be somewhat difficult to not encounter drawdown by buying in the bottom right quadrant. Perhaps I'm mistaken... Is my reasoning flawed?

  4. Ah, a true believer. Too bad Eric Hoffer never met you. Or you never read him. I have made numerous valuable and not so valuable contributions here under many guises. I gave away a perfect working scalp for the benefit of all of those with the balls to play it and the ego small enough to take it. It still works. Worked today. At least when I post a trade, you get an execution report to PROVE that I actually TRADE. In this thread my job is to keep Jack honest. And it has been no small contribution of mine MANY times to state what of Jack's stuff works and what doesn't. HE doesn't even do that. Hahahahaha!

  5. Make the window into a 16 cell window where you are looking at a faster fractal for timing. That might get you past the fear of a "drawdown".

Does this respond to your question? Not sure.

  7. Jack...telling the truth is not "personal bullshit".

You've had me and others chasing a carrot for a long time. Quite frankly the carrot will never be caught.

Trading is much simpler than what you portray in your posts. I've tried to reason why you make every answer lead to a dozen more questions. I have no desire to throw mud, but honestly...it just does not add up.

So "personally" --- yes, I am tired of the "bullshit".

  9. This from a man who admitted he only became profitable after using what he learned from Jack....

This shows that no good deed goes unpunished.

Welcome, John Merchant, to The Hall of Shame.

  10. If you had something to offer, you wouldn't have to change identities. Your type posts under many names, then lays claim to the ideas that worked in hindsight. We never hear about your screwups. You sound like somebody with something to sell.

Why don't you go make another alias and show everyone how you are afraid to stand by what you have to say.
