Well, as you mentioned, you could indeed have a lemon. Since you just got it, do a warranty exchange first and see if the second unit is as bad as the first. Should be totally free from AMZN through UPS Store.
Nah just going to go back to my previous monitor and return the garbage for my money back. The price has gone back up to $229 now so what I bought was definitely a refurbished. Now that they got rid of all the refurbs they raise the price to sell the new ones. I am trying to report this false advertising to Amazon and Amazon is not even letting me... I couldn't even return this lemon on the site; I had to call to return it. Something is definitely not right here...
The price over here still shows 199 as of 1 minute ago. Is this the monitor you mean? The 5 star reviews are ~85%. That's decent.
Same here. I use 2 ASUS ProArt displays and very happy with them. Unless were talking about 3D, I don't think the video card will matter much. You want an IPS display.
When I spent a bit of time researching monitors a few years ago, I came to the conclusion that IPS is the best panel for my use case - image quality > refresh rate. Some of the more expensive gaming monitors use IPS displays and have refresh rates that match or beat the VA panels, but the cheaper gaming monitors use VA panels. https://www.tomshardware.com/features/ips-vs-va-panels-for-gaming
Looks like a good monitor. I considered that, not sure if it was that one exactly, but a 32" 4K. Thought 4K at 32" unscaled would be too small. QHD on 27" unscaled feels about right. 90% of the time I only use one monitor anyway so I just leave the other one off most of the time.
The next one I am going to buy is either an LG one or a Sony one. Through with ASUS. The current one that I am using is an LG. Sony makes great monitors that's really good for the eyes but it's super expensive. I need to make more doughs trading to afford one. LOL
