I installed it on a Sunday and thought that would be plenty enough time to test it out. Totally did not expect it would be so crappy. It's an ASUS for chrissake.
"It only gives a passable performance at 1080 HD resolution but at lower resolutions than that, the image is grainy and blurry you can hardly see anything." Why run lower than 1080p?
Videos and software that cannot run in 1080p. And even with 1080p videos, the quality is just ok; the image was never crispy sharp clear.
i use nothing but asus pro art series monitors been good for me. 4k btw monitors will only display as good as your vid card.
The last one that I had was like out-of-this-world awesome. It was a ASUS PA248Q, best monitor I ever had. I even got a rebate on it. So it shows ASUS is able to make good monitors. It's just this one is a dud, highly suspect that it was a refurbished passing as new with the deep discount.
My vid cards are Nvidia GE Force, got FOUR of them there so it's definitely not the vid card. Plugged my old monitor (good thing that I didn't throw it out) into the computer, everything is much more sharper and crispier.
Did you order it from Amazon? They usually mention it's condition. I see them new for $199 at the moment
They do but I feel it's false advertising. Am going to report to Amazon about it. There is no way a new monitor could be this bad, ASUS or no ASUS.
