Correction, the following statement I made was incorrect...

It was also established that the hedge funds that used TA (although they use it alone) outperformed hedge funds that did not use TA...outperformed by several percentage points and in the world of hedge funds...that's huge. The university professors that did the research were ignored because they weren't famous.

    The correct statement is below...

It was also established that the hedge funds that used TA (although they used it with other things that are more important than the TA) outperformed hedge funds that did not use any type of TA...outperformed by several percentage points and in the world of hedge funds...that's huge. The university professors that did the research were ignored by several naysayers here at ET because the professors weren't famous nor well known in the financial industry even though their research is published in several professional financial/institutional magazines.

Actually very very true. In fact, some use it exclusively.

  3. Name one. Why do you keep repeating this just plain stupid mantra? Either speak in facts with names or go back to reading as u are not qualified to post.

    In the third world?

The following are facts-- not my opinion

    1. Over 80% of all stock volume is HFT driven

    2. HFT uses the random walk theory as its core component

    3. The random walk is antithetical to TA

    4. Therefore if the prime volume provider is based on random walk and order does not come from randomness --TA is a pseudoscience of zero credibility in the market.

  4. Good luck getting a straight answer. Last time around, the best the TA crowd could come up with was some guy who retired 20 years ago.

Suffice it to say--I know a lot about the subject.

  8. Are you sure this is 100% random? Or is it merely a schtick to appease your overlords?

If one does the detective work, you clearly have other aliases on this site fishing for TA nuggets. Now that is so f'ed up.

I agree that you add nothing to this site. In fact you have contributed to the downfall of quality posters.

NOBODY CARES THAT YOU DON'T BELIEVE IN TA. TA doesn't even have a meaning everyone can agree on. You have been arguing against a figment of your imagination for the better part of ten years for a few bucks. Good job buddy.

  9. Great, you've shown some highs and lows that approximately line up. What are your objective trading rules - entry, stop , exit, etc that make money using this information - not in hindsight?
