That's just your opinion, that's not mine i think that's 1 of the stupidest things i have ever heard, well done. TA has a meaning, i give up!
Anything that analyses data be it a price chart or analysis of fundamental raw information is in my opinion TA. If both are improving it's OK to buy.If both are deteriorating its OK to sell. Remember KISS. Probably better suited to position trading. I missed the above entry.Damn two finger typing takes too much time.
This line right here, is the difference...... "Technical analysis, instead, seeks to forecast future prices of investments and markets by analyzing past trading action." That is where TA fails, which is I'm yet again not trading TA, I make no attempt to Forecaste ie predict, I just jump on the current short term direction. Nothing Technical or Anaylst required!
It's climbing, you decide to go long based on what you saw (past tense) expecting (forecasting) continuation of what you saw.
WRONG AGAIN, I trade off what is currently happening, ie going up, but with ZERO Forecaste or Prediction, it could stop immediately after I get in ( often ), or 50pips/pts later ( enough ). Turning, everyone into a TA trader, is just moronic, I am not a TA trader, TA traders SUCK!! End of Story!!
Not exactly... If someone looks at a chart and does an analysis of any kind involving what's on that chart... That person is then using "technical analysis". In contrast, if someone looks at chart and is not doing any analysis about the price information on that chart...that person is not using technical analysis. For example, my mom owns a lot of investments (stocks) since 1980s. She gets sent tons of corporate information by the companies...sometimes she receives charts within the corporate information. She looks at the charts but she's not doing any kind'uv of analysis for investment decisions. In contrast, if her broker calls her and tells here he thinks she should buy more in a market dip along with trying to explain it to her via chart analysis...that broker is using "technical analysis"...not my mom. My point is that my mom doesn't need a chart. Her investment decisions were made way back in the 1980's without the use of charts. She has never done any chart analysis. Yet, anyone that's investing or trading and needs a chart to make a decision...it falls under the helm of "chart analysis". However, if they do not need a chart to make a decision or analysis...stop using charts. I know many traders that don't look at charts and only use DOM, Bid/Ask and Time/Sales data or Statistics Data to trade...they are not using technical analysis in my opinion.
