Do hedge funds hire day traders with a good strategy (emini/FX trading)? How else can a day trader get capital to trade other than just growing their account? Thanks.
Take a look at 4Xprop, they advertise right here on this site, just look above this page. If you can show them that your consistent then i think they will work to provide you with some capital.
I know quite a few ex-daytraders in NYC who went into hedge funds either as employees or as portfolio managers. But they were cream of the crop at their respective prop firms.
There's over 7,000 US hedge funds alone so the answer is yes. Realistically if you want to trade short-term you need to be more on the quantitative side. Plain vanilla equities are not attractive either.
