Do hedge funds hire day traders with a good strategy (emini/FX trading)? How else can a day trader get capital to trade other than just growing their account?

    Thanks.

    Go to a prop firm.

  4. Take a look at 4Xprop, they advertise right here on this site, just look above this page. If you can show them that your consistent then i think they will work to provide you with some capital.

    Yes.

  6. I know quite a few ex-daytraders in NYC who went into hedge funds either as employees or as portfolio managers. But they were cream of the crop at their respective prop firms.

  7. I think they work for Fxcm

  8. There's over 7,000 US hedge funds alone so the answer is yes. Realistically if you want to trade short-term you need to be more on the quantitative side. Plain vanilla equities are not attractive either.
