Today the SP since the opening has moved 0.5% AMD since the opening has moved 5% Do you really want me to believe that the erratic SP movement is better than the AMD movement? I do not understand. Can someone please explain it to me? I think that in intraday trading, volatility is your friend. Leverage is never a good friend. Excessive leverage does not let you think correctly.
For practical purposes as it relates to your trading account, how does volatility differ from leverage?
I honestly thought he was going to recant on intraday and mention he was going back to swing, which he started with. Remember? Swing trading is easy? Something like that? Just wow on the oscillations. Wish we could trade TTT's cycles, they seem pronounced.
Yes, S&P moves little and stocks more, but we're talking about Futures vs stocks here, not index vs stocks.....
Dude, or dudette, I think we've been trying to explain it to you over and over again in your threads that you need to find an instrument that fits your mentality, trading style and capital allotments. Yes, the S&P sux for volatility on most days. But Winter to spring this year, and October to now has seen much larger moves in price action than what is generally seen. The whole bloody market is moving like gang-busters lately, so you will find movement everywhere (except class IV milk, rofl. I love picking on that thing). Yes, in intraday trading, volatility is your friend!!! Your question is answered! Roll with it! If you want to learn how to trade individual stocks, don't pose these questions in the "index futures" section! Get yer' ass on over to the stock section, because it is a whole other animal! Different regulations, different price action, different exchanges, different tax consequences! Oi vey!
I don't mean to be disrespectful, but you seem like a person who is more interested in being right than making money.
I do not know everything, that's why I ask. I only say that it seems that the movement of actions is easier to do intraday. If you think it's not like that, tell me why. I'm interested in learning not to be right, so if I'm wrong, I'm grateful you tell me why.
