Do full-time forex traders exist or is it just make believe?

  1. Haha dude. Show us a million dollar (USD) net liq in your name (prior to today's date) and I will pay for your algo-team up to $100k. That's an arbitrage for you. Free money. It's not even a wager so you have nothing to lose.

You don't have to make it public and I am on the record stating that I would never divulge any of your info.

  4. you do have some kind of loss prevention program in place, correct?

your forex account is starting to sound like my baseball betting account, something just for fun and entertainment

I'm losing today because I am short gbp.usd from 5306, it has already hit it's max size

I don't mind joking around with you, but if you are serious about learning to trade, I need to see a better strategy than, "I will just send the bucket shop more money when this is all gone."

  5. Oldtime where the hell did that come from. I haven't lost a penny since February. I am currently down $130 on an unrealized eurusd long. Sorry I am working with small amounts. I am skimming off the top of my forex account to load my margin account. Bring me up to a combine $8736.

Look at how the eurusd behaves. The only way to survive is to go in small and set a very wide stop. From there I just wait patiently. So far this is working beautifully.

  6. that's cool, I don't have a problem if you are trading with hundreds of dollars or millions of dollars. Maybe you are better than me. But I blew up my first account (and it was rather substantial, supported me and my family for 13 years, fulltime) because I had no loss prevention program in place. I just thought it would go on forever.

  7. once you put in your "loss prevention program" you see, trading is no different than any other business, if you like cooking better, you might as well just open a restaurant, your chances of success and your profit potential are about the same.

there is that brief period when you start out with no fear of loss that the profits seem almost unlimited

  8. Trading a major currency pair can be viewed as a range trade. For any crossing of A by price P, there is an extremely high probability that P will return to A.

My stops are set at the bottom of that range. I have a very strong loss prevention system that works for me. Thanks. :D

By the way, I have blown out several accounts thrrough the death by a million paper cuts method caused by tight stops. Since I changed my approach, I have recovered all accumulated losses since I began two years ago and moved ahead substantially.

  9. Now let me get this straight. You laugh the statements I posted out of court as fakes, call me a fraud, say I'm on drugs, (and those are the nicer things,) say the two statements mean nothing and performance is what you really want to see BUT NOW if I send you my private details you'll believe it, act as my confidant and wire me $100,000? Did I get that all correct? You'll be my best buddy ever then.

Are you out of your tiny mind? I trust you a bit less than a sewer rat. Nor am I interested in a statement from you if that is what you are angling at because it can be fake (the grapevine says you're good at that) or you could have your grandmothers money in your account (as of course could I).

So let's do something meaningful and transparent where neither of us can be fakes or pretend we can trade because you are right, performance is what counts. I said Rob could give you a lesson in trading only because of the things you posted about me so let's put it to the test. He's 3.5mths into the year and when the 12 mths are up let's use the same auditor to go through both accounts and show to each other what has been achieved. An auditor will be quite capable of basing pro rata performance on a starting pot of $10K. You can use any 12mth consecutive period in a 24mth window up to 8.5 mths ahead of us now.

If you outperform him I'll pay your auditor fees, give you my statement which you can make public. If he out performs you, then you pay for his auditor. We post the auditors RoI here and show what you and Rob did. That way there is nowhere to hide as we look at DD, losing days and performance with real money down.

You can keep your Mickey Mouse $100,000K which I haven't a hope in hell of seeing and just leave it to the auditor's figures to do the talking. Deal? Tat way everyone on ET gets a win out of this.

  10. wtf is talking about Rob? YOU, XSPURT, stated explicitly that you had over a mil. The mil can't be deposited now as it would have to predate the challenge, so what's the problem?

So now you fall on your face as you can't back up the $1MM net liq so you bring this poor fool into it? wtf does Rob have to do with you having a net liq exceeding $1MM?

    Fine, you lose.

I will take the "Rob" challenge. Best % gain from Apr 26, 2013 to Dec 31, 2013. I'll post and allow another ETer (agreed upon) to view my IB account metrics on Jan 1, 2014.

My primary IB account number ends in "1615" and Rob or you or whatever alias of yours you're referring to will also have to post last-four digits of their IB account number here. No paper-trading bullshit. Funny how you somehow speak for Rob.

Loser pays the winner the return-differential shortfall. If winner earns 60%, loser earns -5%, then loser pays winner 0.65 * $100,000USD ($65,000).

And WTF is with this $10k starting amount? F*cking piker.
