Do full-time forex traders exist or is it just make believe?

  1. How hershey-esque this is all becoming. [IMG]

there is nothing that will stop hershey from spouting his nonsense... Not even proof that he is broke and in debt (I'm sure we have all seen that recurring thread once or twice--- the one with the action figure LOL).

This guy seems no different-- give him time and a spotlight and the stories will become more and more extravagant. Maybe better to ignore him and leave him to it. LOL

One last thing--- Even if rookie Rob is a unique user (not a multi-nic accomplice) all that does is prove Freak was right all along-- that Xspurt was in fact stealth advertising on ET for students. Obviously he found this student on ET, and must have had pm correspondences or emails where the mentoring was arranged.

  2. My father wanted me to be a trader

but my Mother wanted me to be a private investigator

because she was very nosey and liked figuring out who was telling the truth and who was lying

  5. Now you catching up :)

He uses ET for prey, posts and acts like a trading God until someone falls for the whole fiasco and contacts him for private tutoring.

Everything else is advertising, without paying the sponsorship of course.

Is UBS still the top player in forex trading market ?

    http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/05/24/us-ubs-forex-idUSTRE74N2YO20110524

I remember them letting go (lay off) about 9 forex traders in their foreign exchange division. In contrast, Deutsche Bank and Barclays Capital seem to be gaining ground fast on UBS. Heck, they may now be the top dog.

There was story last year that one of their top Forex traders had quit and went retail (trading his own account). I wonder how he's doing or maybe its all a FAKE (scam) because full-time forex traders don't exist. :D

Which U.S. investment firms or financial institution are big in forex markets (e.g. Knight Capital Group) ???

Looks like FX cared less about the fake tweet mini-crash yesterday than stock indexes. Same was during the flash crash of 2010.

    FX certainly has some advantage.

  8. I've never understood this about some of the traders on this site.

If you aren't mentally tough enough to handle goofballs on a public forum how on earth can you be mentally tough enough to be a good trader?

You're as much a problem as they are if you let them get to you. Either don't respond to them or put them on ignore. It's very simple. There are goofballs on public forums, nothing you can do about it.

I've read plenty of comments on this site from seemingly intelligent, nice, honest, helpful people. You could just as easily stay on the site for those people as opposed to leaving the site because of the crazy people.

This site would be much better if the good posters would ignore & not reply to the negative posters (unless they enjoy doing so). Instead the good posters get bullied & run away.

  9. gosh dang man, do you know how miserable it is to trade in your pajamas, and never even talk to another human being? And how rare it is to talk to someone that wants to talk about trading (or even investing?)

Even if it all is just bullshitting?

  10. Great story on the Japanese housewife!

Wonder how she made it all-- consistent grind it out daytrading or riding a long term trend? She supposedly did it over a 3 yr period so it wasnt due to a one-time fluke

"And just in case you’re wondering what Ikebe has been up to in recent times, it should come as no surprise that she now spends most of her time delivering lectures (on forex trading) and attending speaking engagements."

cant say I can blame her-- like oldtimer says it's a tough job sitting around all day, alone in your pajamas, staring at a screen.

but thats where ET comes into play, a place to bullshit, argue, and so on
