I personally think the reason Kris lost 25mm that year, and BTW he hasn't come out and disputed it so I assume it's true,is that the same strategies that worked so well during the bull market years 2010-2021 just weren't working in 2022...breakout,momo plays,EP plays, etc. It's like he refused to accept those strategies weren't working until it was too late and he had lost 25 mil.
I am not aware of Exchange rules, SEC rules or brokerage rules... that say day traders have to close the position by the EOD? I sometimes did that and Schwab never gave me a hard time?
My bad, she needs more starting capital. Are you telling me the otherz you mentioned are just that good?
If you dont close the trade by EOD you no longer meet the definition of a day trader. You're now a swing trader.
I was referring to the "spirit" or mentality of being a day trader. A true day trader wants absolutely nothing to do with holding a position overnight.
Scalpers DO NOT make more than long term traders. Commissions eat you up. The years to get good are overwhelming. I don't swing trade but do very long term commodities trading, what most consider a swing trade, it is an add on trade for me. The best deal is having an 401k into LLC, self directed, 98% of my trading been this way.
Well if you use stop losses you are entering into a trade that you really want no part of at a lower price. If anything you should be averaging down or not making the trade at all because you have no real idea where long term price is going.
