Do black people have a problem?

It's funny because whenever I talk with others about race I am pretty tame compared to many if not the majority of whites I know. There is a brewing frustration with most whites about Blacks behavior, their endless whining, and gov't dependency. I don't want to talk to blacks anymore, it's hopeless.

Most of your posts are intellectually offensive. I come here for deeper than 'on the street' discussion with hopefully some deeper thinkers, but you quickly descend into your ad hominem cliches and baiting. I know you don't speak for the majority of white people because your dialogue (what little of it there is) is the same as liberal university types, so cut the bullshit about exactly who is the embarassment.

I don't need any confession, it is you who avoids honest discussion so you can feel superior. Oh, BTW, keeping me in check?? that's a good one, liberal delusion is so cute

My personal feelings are in line with what you're saying. If I go up against a black man for a job, if he beats me because of credentials, good for him! That's the way it SHOULD be. But if he beats me because the company I am applying to has a diversity quota, then that's not right - for me or for the company.

I'm glad you feel that blacks should be able to compete on their merits. But it would be nice to see you get a little miffed when you see articles talking about how 90% of a given city's bus driver workforce is black because of "quotas" and white/hispanic applicants have been denied or not promoted because of it.

I don't believe in racism - it's completely ridiculous. But if we want to deal with people on even ground, then we must respect the rules of that even ground. And that includes not yelling racism when the outcome goes against us for reasons OTHER than race.

Blacks have been given every chance and when they fail they always claim racism- the permanent excuse. Defeat me? Hell all I want blacks to do is stop sucking off the gov't, what's with the defeat nonsense, economics is win-win if blacks would just get off their asses.

In science and engineering there is actually so much gov't cash thrown at blacks that they can't spend it all. It's quite sad, look around any international conference in anything technical. Blacks were 'let in' long ago and have failed to achieve. We whites don't see it as being defeated since the Chinese dominate S&T now. Blacks are about the only group that complains about being 'let in', others simply make their own prosperity.

  5. NO issues with that, and if I have EVER done that here, call me on it.

Most often, when the insecure post those kinds of articles, I could easily post in kind, but as I said, there is no point. I do not get miffed, because, again, there is no point.

What I get miffed about in the real world is that employers roll over instead of taking me to task. Any company I apply to, I am an automatic hire because I am a black male, in nursing.

I have had only one DON in my 20 years challenge me, her name was Fran. She was in her late 60's and still wore supermini's to work.:D

She said she hired me because the company made her. But I will have to work to keep my job. In the end, of course, I was the kingmaker in my facility because I knew my shit.

So yeah, I get pissed on the one hand due to AA, but on the other hand, the government says a company has to hire according to the ratio of blacks to white in the area. So generally speaking, one black must be hired for every nine whites.

That means that the people who complain are below the tenth percentile......really?????

Sorry, I am not sympathetic to that.

  6. Generalizations DQ you automatically 88. The one who cannot compete is most likely you.

  7. Hmm what mav said is interesting though. How come whites didn't shut out Asians? Asians make up 2% of the population but regularly make up 25-30% of all Ivy League student population.

  8. The Asian experience and the black experience is wholly different, so much so that you will have research that yourself. That is too much to type.

I don't want to shut anyone out, but blacks like RCG just don't get it. Here is what the black man means by being 'let in'

Is this what is meant by 'defeating us'?

The very act of being 'let in' is a competition, when this competition is unfairly tilted towards blacks it tends to make whites mad. The underachievment is everywhere on this earth where blacks are, yet its never their fault, and they haven't had the chance... the black man has a problem

The generalizations are true and you know it, look at the numbers.

Cannot compete? you really have a sick mind, I am not in competition with the black man. Economically I am just about retired so I would say I 'competed' and there was no black competition so to speak
