Do any platforms let you enter a trend-line trade?

    And anything that works with TS8 works with Multicharts. For the unitiated, Multicharts is a Tradestation clone...

  2. Unfortunately no. Even TS code is not 100% compatible from TS version to version.

    MC is perhaps 95% EasyLanguage (EL) compatible and 70% Strategy code compatible. It may look like it is running the same strategy, but the results could be vastly different.

    In addition, the EL container files, ELD, are no longer compatible as of TS version 8.4 and of course source protected codes had not been MC compatible in any version.

    MC compatibility problems can be researched further in the tssupport.com forum.

    Does Multicharts let you try before you buy?

    If not any other ideas on how to find strategy development software you can try without big $$ committment ?

    If I have understood you correct, you want to automatically make a transaction when a TL or some other drawn object is thouched by price?

    This is possible in Open E Cry charting software.
