I remember a friend telling me about EverBank's foreign CD basket back around 2000 as a way to have some hedge against the dollar. It looks like they were bought out by TIAA. Back then I think the NZD was paying like 6% to 7% pa. I remember that you could pick and choose currencies but now it looks like your choice is limited to certain baskets. And you are right, right now the USD is dominating most other currencies.
I've had to split my balance into 2 different accounts and will be applying a slight amount of leverage. This has been done to hold positions longer, lessening my commission/ fees in ratio to my P&L average. Starting balance $100,000 Current balance $99,800
Still working on this. Last week or so has been rough because of the holidays, but after New Years everything should become easier. Starting balance $100,000.00 USD Current balance $99,965.22
Just increased Position Value to full account balance (zero leverage). Also just made a new high on the account balance.
Increased the account by $1,000.00 The leverage was increased by a decent amount, I am leaving it up to clients following me to use the leverage they want to use within a maximum of x14 leverage. On my personal live account, I am using about x5 leverage.
