  1. traderslair,

Was that really necessary to state? The man posted a video for people to watch and here you are with the bullshit.

  2. I attended your webinar and for me this was one of the more insightful ones. I do not understand however why do you expose yourself to this charade going on within the last posts lol.

You have a guy that clearly didn't watch the video who is now coming up with a bunch of excuses on how he actually managed to watch the video without watching it (huh?); but wait, there's another guy believing he is somehow an elite trader among fellow subscribers to the forum just because the forum has the word elite on its name!

Jesus if you wanted to explain to each of these individuals where they are wrong you would never know where to begin, try to make an effort and they will just turn everything you say against you because at this point it's not about the truth anymore, once it begins like this it's all about wining an argument for them.

It's because of traders like these that I mostly quit social trading media and devoted to trading alone, bunch of traders full of BS who tried each and every style of trading out there, know everything about the markets and trading and the business in and out at such a high level that they can all confidently issue statements of what doesn't work based on their personal experience of the one week at most of what they think qualifies as practice and experience. That's it, they now feel empowered to say things like that other guy: order flow is a scam.

I specifically named key elements in the video early in the conversation and specifically stated I skipped through particular sections I'm very familiar with. I believe the time duration of the video is like a one hour plus 4mins.

Surely I'm not the only person on this planet to do such. The OP obviously didn't care about the specific things I identified in the video that were interesting to me just as you just did along with you (not the OP) stating its an "excuse".

Instead, he concentrated on the stuff I skipped through and announce I didn't watch the video.

Simply, had he just stated you didn't watch the "entire video". Not a problem considering I stated such myself via my "skipped" through comments.

Yet, he continue stating something completely different...that I did not watch the video even while I continue identifying specifics in the video. :D

Regardless, as stated, I was able to get my answers about the "super computer" and the "human brain" that were discussed in the video...on my own after I figure out that the British speaker pronunciation of the word "spinnaka" was actually SpiNNaker the super computer.

Ooops, I wouldn't know that considering I didn't watch the video (sarcasm). :wtf:

Seriously, don't take it personally about the stuff I skipped through...its not a crime nor were there any "hole punching" or "criticism" nor "gotcha" moments...something the OP (thread starter) later admitted although he tried to tie it into that "you didn't watch the video theme".

Yet, I do not speak for the criticism or negative comments by others because there's no criticism from me other than to say I'm familiar with the a lot of the info I skipped (skimmed maybe a better word) through.

Once again, I'm familiar with the other info in the video via a psycho therapist and behaviour finance professional that both work with discretionary traders...its a good thing...no complaints.

By the way, title of the thread just happens to be "Discretionary Trading Rules - The Recording"...similar title of the video.
    • Now...post something interesting. What did you get from the video that you found to be interesting...please be specific like me and name a few things ???
P.S. As stated, I'm a discretionary trader but my definition of such differs from the definition given by the British speaker in the video.

I know, I'm not suppose to know that too considering I didn't watch the video...the synapses and neurons forgot I didn't watch the video (more sarcasm).

    SimpeMeLike,

That's a deja vu comment by you involving #2 question from the trader psychology thread a few years back about how trade journals can help a trader gain insight into how they're mentally interpreting the markets along with obviously documenting their trades to give them valuable feedback about their trade performance.

I posted a long list of 3rd party professional trade journals in which many work directly with most broker trade execution platforms. A few on the list are / were sponsors of Elitetrader.com at the time of the discussion.

  6. Thanks for the input wrbtrader.

I have a journal but its a spreadsheet I built manually. Just thought there was some more web base that can track my trades so its not so manual intense.

I use Jigsaw's journalytics journal becuase I like that it links to my broker and instantly captures all trades automatically thus saving me lots of tedious recording of trades. I need only add my own review comments /screen shots as I wish. Plus I like its dashboard that gives all important trade metrics (win%, avg gain/loss, etc) per trade, strategy, day, week, month, etc. Its very powerful and easy to use.

Traders are looking for the best way to find S&R,
But they don’t even question the assumptions.

I agree but whenever someone post free educational content I will just consume it. There might be a tiny bit of new information valuable for traders.

There's definitely a few interesting concepts in the educational video. One particular concept caused me to spend a few hours researching on the internet to gather more information because it relates to something I believe will help shed light on something very important in my trading.
