But he has a plan. He's going to become an ES master trader and make millions. Then I think he is going to write a book. Or he'll eventually be a millionaire by dollar cost averaging into SPY in somesort of retirerment plan. He's keeping it simple!!!
What's the difference ? Plan ? System ? ... Good question By that I meant I had no anticipation. No plan ... But real time signal provided by a system. Guess that's still the case. Maybe there is no difference. Or maybe I fail to see the difference. Does it really matter ?
Yes. Stare and Click. 20% of the signals come from the brain. 80% of the signals come from the body. Heard something like this
In other words you don't plan on making a certain amount or being profitable on any trade. You take what the market gives you and follow a well thought out plan on how to execute a trade when the market presents you with an opportunity.
Well summed up. That's how it should be done. Follow a system (rules) that has shown profitability, Don't try to put your needs, wants and feeling into the equation. Accept the strengths and the weaknesses of the system. Because nothing is ever going to be perfect. Or like we would like it to be. But it is not discretionary anymore, It's ... Systematic / Algorithmic Trading. The more I interfere, the least profitable I am. Tests and optimizations should be done overnight. Not while taking and within signals. At least I am not good at it. There might be great discretionary traders, That can improvise on the fly, But not me. Done that for 10yrs.
