Discretionary Price Action Traders

  1. Good Morning Sekiyo,

I am very kind to animals. I have 2 dogs.

Hunting Hogs and Deer is a very kind and ethical sport. The meat is used to feed homeless people and hunters.

  2. I trade through an API, the trigger to enter is discretionary (me starting the script) , so it depends on the time I execute it.

It records only the variables you have as entry and exit. No rationale is recorded, as the algorithm is already having that in the code.

I execute exactly the same trade on a live and a paper account, just to see if there are major differences in PnL. This is just based on paranoia, it is not really needed.

Everything gets recorded into a small local MySQL database so I can run reports against it later.

Sorry, I think you have your life script backward.

Be passionate, be good at it, success and money will follow, it will show up and you will realize it is so easy.

No need to watch lions hunt zebra videos, someone will bring the zebra burgers to you.:D

  4. Good Morning ironchef,

This is not true, and I Most CERTAINTLY disagree with you 1000%

There are many of traders who are VERY passionate about day trading, but the Money does not follow them so easily and they are still losing money year after year after year, month after month, week after week, week after week, day after day, day after day. ALL that work and NOTHING, no money to show for it!!!!!

So being passionate have absolutely nothing to do with making money. Absolutely ZERO.

I am passionate about hunting and play video games and muscle cars. These passions bring me guaranteed happiness.

My trading is about making money, has nothing to do passionate. Fuck being passionate when it comes to making money trading. Being passionate does not pay bills. MAKING MONEY PAY BILLS.

Yup that's what I do also. And also, when I did follow my trading plan, is there anything the trading plan could've been improved so I could be more profitable. If yes, I look at the trading plan and study it further to see if it merits a reworking or an upgrade.

And to @SimpleMeLike, you can still be passionate about trading but just not in putting in each trade per se. You can be passionate about trading when designing trading systems for example, or backtesting the trading system and redesigning it, designing risk management systems and etc. Passion can be in many forms.

What is the difference between a system and a plan?
