Actually, after everything was accounted for and after monthly fees, I started this month off with only about 5,700 in the account. Needless to say, this has meant that I have gotten much more conservative with my trading as I build the account back up. I am only trading about 200 shares max position size right now and am avoiding extremely volatile stocks like AMZN, NFLX and the like, so I am limiting my risk. My account is now sitting somewhere around 6,500 for the month, despite only trading part-time due to kids back to school drama. $800 in less than a week on 100-200 share position sides is not too bad, although there is still much room for improvement. I still find myself revenge trading too frequently and churning up losses in one stock, causing myself to miss out on opportunity in other stocks, and not hold my winning trades long enough.
