discipline in trading

  1. Good Morning oraclewizard77,

I do not understand how Discipline have anything to do with trading.

Yes, I do not think about Discipline when I am trading. There is nothing to be discipline about.

Whatever I do while trading and my reason for doing it, is my decision to do, discipline has nothing to do what that decision. I just do it because I want to.

Whatever I did was because I thought or felt it will make me money. And if I am do something, I am 100% correct for doing it.

Rather I lose or win, on the trade I am correct. I am NEVER EVER in doubt, even if the outcome is wrong.

I am not understanding how Discipline has anything to do with trading or me trading, IMO.

Seems like "discipline trading" is another distraction or overthinking.

Most traders failed because their system has no edge.

Like @SimpleMeLike said, how is discipline going to help me make money if my system has negative expectancy, has no edge?

  3. Good Morning ironchef,

    EXACTLYYYYYYY!!!!!

What does discipline has to do with trading?? Absolutely nothing, IMO.

You enter the trade, exit for a loss or exit for a profit!

Why traders make it so complicated??

Just click the chart, why make it some complicated.

For me, trading has been a really disciplined path. Though there were times when I wasn't sure, sticking to my trading plan and keeping a routine became my guiding principles. face a new task every day, and discipline serves as my guide.

  8. The hardest part is to be disciplined 100% of the time, and even a small mistake can ruin everything you have done earlier.

    THATS actually a plan - clue, since its not possible to do that 100% 0f the time;
but most businesses have more than one way to make money.:caution::caution:
Dont really have to have 50+/ businesses like State Farm .
One woman asked is that 50+ 1?
No, its 50 more or less.

Discipline is a lot easier once you accept the uncertainty in trading.
