I believe the tune (complete with "Dominique nique nique" line) is from "Dominique" by Sœur Sourire:

I missed the pun in "Dominique nique nique". I guess they don't teach this vocabulary in "French for natuiral sciences" course. Thanks for the explanation!

I guess laughing at the song doesn't constitute a specific view on the recent events.

I appreciate Daily Mail is not the most reliable source. (Thought their covergae of the factual side is ussually pretty precise. It's the interpretation and comments you should take with agrain of salt.) It's just the first article I found on google that presented the events from tha angle I wanted to convey. I read over two dozen articles on the subject at the time and I believe Daily Mail represntation is pretty accurate.

The official versionf of Dubai police is the tourist was arrested when totally drunk (being drunk in public is a serious offense in Dubai... though it's often overlooked when tourists or expats are involved), and after 5 days in prison (which means he'd got totally sobre and had eaten nothing but the prison food) misteriously choked on his own vomit.

  3. Something fishy about this story

Why would someone like Dominique Strauss-Kahn with all the power money and connections, go after a cleaning lady who happens to be a muslim African woman?

He can get the best top model or escort woman or any beautiful woman and maybe end up not paying money.

Why go after a low class muslim african woman? So low that she is a cleaning lady. I mean you can not get lower than that. can you?

Did you guys see her pictures? Ugly as hell!!!!!!!!

I mean c'ommon. Something definitely fishy about this story.

I think it is a setup.

    IMF BAILOUT - GAME INSTRUCTIONS

Guide IMF President Dominique Strauss-Kahn in "bailing-out" countries.

Use the arrow keys to move DSK through the Hotel / Convention Center. The game starts in a large suite. Press "G" to grab the intended country.

Press "F" to bend-over and "bail out" the country. Press "O" to attempt "oral bail-out" (half-credit only). Note the country may attempt to resist or escape.

TO WIN: Find and vigorously "bail-out" France.

BEWARE: Attempting to "bail-out" the U.S. will lead to jail and losing the game.

SPECIAL NOTE: Attempting to "bail-out" Guinea will also lead to jail. They are under protection of the U.S.

ALSO: Please do not feel guilty playing this game, the IMF has been doing this to the world for years.

The problem with British penitentiary system is the inheritance of the late Middle ages when it was particular concern that "justice" was cheap. So, (except for a few V.I.P.s) a convict would be let go (usually with a fine), sent to a (for profit) labour camp or subject to capital panishmenet.

So, the convicted person either goes free or experiences rather harsh punishment.

Similarly, modern British laws dictate that most people with first-time or minor offenses (like shoplifting) go free with conditional discharge, which is not even counted as conviction for record purposes. However, if they got caught the 2nd or 3rd time, they will get a 2-3 year prison sentense... and contribute to overcrowding of prisons.

In comparison, in a few Northern European countries courts routinely hand out 2-3 week prison sentences. This means that:
    1) Most people who reseive criminal conviction actually experince some kind of punishment (while in the UK more convicted peopel go free after the court judgement than not)
    2) Minor offenders get a proper taste of prison life early on before they become repeated offenders
    3) A lot of people sentenced to prison term don't spend enough time in prison to get close with gangs. (Especially with most prisoners geven week-ends off prison.)
    4) Due to short terms those receiving a prison sentence can keep their job (provided they had one). Just instead of holiday in a tropical country they have a holiday in prison.

Also keeping someone in prison for a year is substantially more expensive than sending a teenager to a top boarding school for the same term.

Mr. Hotshot took Miss Nobody for granted and ended up in the can.

    But who is lying.

Chances are Big time lawyers will for a 6 figure cheque get the charges dropped whichever.......

A 3 minute bonk in a broom cupboard cost Boris Becker a 7 figure pay off !!

I don't mind much neither muslims nor african but it doesn't end in a glory shot for DSK !

After all this cruel mess, I'm not sure there will be a fair trial anymore as it wouldn't look good on the US if DSK ends up discharged, especially if the woman removes her complaint, so it's likely the maid will keep on beeing protected from both the media and DSK friends, not that I know anything on how accurate the maid's depiction of the events is.
