  1. Correct... Unless he can prove that he was in NYC on business (which, apparently, isn't the case this time), he's got no immunity.

Pfff. What an idiocracy. Is there any evidence other than the maid's complaint?

I doubt there is and I doubt there will be. Either this is just very bad luck for DSK (the maid might be so bored with her life that she may just do something like this out of her own initiative) or he is being framed or (and this is then the less likely scenario) the chairman of the IMF, who should have no problem banging hot ladies (oh and I guess he doesn't considering his history) consentually (whether he pays for it or not) all over da place actually tried to rape a NYC hotel maid.

I can't believe how all tabloids have already printed this as if he were already convicted and behind bars. Mushy mush brains.

Do you really think this because of Sarkozy? BNP was already getting bigger and they just played well in the crisis. Nothing to do with government. Kerviel happened under Sarko too.

However, it's right that DSK is no more finance friendly than Sarkozy but at least we wouldn't hear of FTT with him( Bank tax instead ).

  4. I think regardless of who is president, the top financiers have a big foot in the door at the Élysée, in which country is this not the case?

Other then that Sarkozy and his entourage were very closely connected to both BNP's handling of the crisis years and the other ones at times even positioning close protegees of him in high decision places (Pierre Mariani)...

From what was leaked in the media during those crisis years one can only admire how the French banking system and it's government were prepared in advance to take advantage of the global turmoil compared to many other countries.

"but I would like to see the photo of the girl to be sure."
that is a senseless remark. don't post the picture of the woman in your life. you will be disappointed that no one wants to rape her.

"We will get 5 more years of Sarkozy in France which means 5 more years of finance bashing and transaction tax promoting at the G20...

we should all so be lucky the transaction tax doesn't get passed in the next 5 years.

  7. Apparantly he could have used his immunity but he chose not to.

This is what is being said in my tv news here at least.

He was on personal visit but on the $3000 a night suite. If he was paying for it himself then he could have easily afforded top of the line Escorts for an hour and at worst end up like Spitzer.

    :D

  10. If he is that rich and all, why was he trying to rape the cleaningwoman?

He could have found any hooker any escort he wanted to

    Something does not add up
