  2. I just traded an old skool breakout at 1.3104. Moved the stop to BE at 1R (7 pips). Sold 1/2 position at around 3R (1.3125) and trailed the stop for the remaining. Trail hit at around 6R (1.3149).

  8. NTW31, thanks for the great thread.

    I have some questions here:

    1. Entrance and exit of a trade should always in the same bar, right?
    2. if yes, will you open a trade if the condition for entrance satisfied in the late phase of the bar formation?

    thanks

  9. 1. for the candle formation trade ? yes for using tick data and movement from open ... yes.

    2. depends how late a min left on a 3hr bar is just a bad idea as it would have to rally or drop 32.5 pips in 1 min after reaching entrance rare occurance candle failure.

odd of this happening is low generally if finds both both extremes quickly then rebalances or extends.

  10. NTW31, Thanks.
Have you ever tested the strategy for high frequency trading, eg. 5 min bar? I would like to try Your strategy for 1-min or 5-min index futures.
