The biggest problem with Secular Progressivism is that is doesn't fill the void it creates with anything other than scientific theory, the operative word being theory, and dependence on government. Being "liberated" from your faith isn't necessarily a good thing if you're left wandering in the wilderness of uncertainty with nothing to hang on to other than another unproven theory, and a inept/corrupt government. And on this subject, we're all uncertain to some degree, unless you're nuts. Then you are absolutley sure of yourself.
I've been down this road before with stuPID. It appears modern science has changed the definition of scientific theory from when we were in school. Now they consider a scientific theory, fact - until proven wrong. Usually by another unproven theory. (yeah I know, don't even get me started)
