Like all victims, if one gives away the responsibility for who one is, along with it one gives away the power to change things. And that is what life is - change. Better to keep your power and become who you really want to be.
If there wasn't any money in it you'd see how fast the feeding tube gets yanked. Take away your heatlh insurance and see how fast the the average life span comes down. People are kept alive sucking air just for profit. It's not right. There is quality of life and then there's just hanging around waiting to die. When the quality is gone, you should be gone shortly thereafter.
