From the May 2012 paragraph: "The food index was unchanged, with a slight decline in the index for food at home offsetting an increase in the food away from home index." Ok, prices are sticky. Nevertheless, a slight decline in at-home food prices is still a decline. (Must have been because of the "disinflation" the Fed was engineering a year ago.) Anyway, couple this with the decline of gasoline, and next to no inflation in the rest, and it's looking very good for the American people and Obama.
