Never saw the ES cover 100+ points in 5 minutes before

Sheesh!

 

Looks like a margin liquidation. Who knows. No liquidity at the open after a day off.

100+? 67 from after hrs close. But seems like a few stops were triggered. Went into a small halt like 20 times...

 

Sometimes you guys use lingo I can't quite follow haha. "Cover 100+ points" - shouldn't that mean go up 100 plus points? But here it markets look waaaaay down:

low currently was 2649.75... came back up about 35 pts from that. I got 14 pts on the pullback.

 

The trigger story I think was Canada arresting the CFO of Huawei to be extradited to the US... for violation of Iran sanctions. Maybe becomes a monkey wrench in the China-USA temporary trade "truce"??

 

That was "down + up" all within 5 minutes. However, I think I exaggerated a bit. 'Twas only 98 points. My bad.

 

Was crazy. There were patches of the DOM with no bids at all.
