Speaking at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, President Barack Obama jocularly said that his advisers "suggested that I should start with some jokes at my own expense, just take myself down a peg. I was like, guys, after four and a half years, how many pegs are there left?" A few moments later, the president joked: "Now, look, I get it. These days, I look in the mirror and I have to admit, Iâm not the strapping young Muslim socialist that I used to be. Time passes. You get a little gray." http://cnsnews.com/news/article/obama-i-am-not-strapping-young-muslim-socialist-i-used-be
Truth in humor? In this case how do you define truth? This was not the joke on the telepromter. "A black man gets into the Whitehouse, the worldâs financial system virtually collapses and then we bomb the moon and I get a Nobel peace prize."
Though it pains me to agree with him, RCG is right. It was just a joke, designed to get a few laughs.
Continuing on with Presidential jokes. George Bush recommends the The K-Street Project Gift Shop - at his new liberry.
