Did Anyone Guess YUM Would Blow Up? Its down $20 points now!

  1. Pc, there are some nasty pumpers who play a funny game after-hours with lighter volume or biotech stocks that broke out or had some great news. You must watch out for them, they are very good at extracting cash and are the best at churning between each other creating the illusion the stock is moving up. If you see them using EDGX and ARCA without NASD, its probably them and they move stocks that broke out up from $.20 to $2.00 depending on how much volume is there. Their game players, on YUM that can't do that or they will get crushed by the Big Boys, just a warning my friend, we should do a AH trade on one of the big movers this month over skype!

Holy cow! How the heck does someone pull off the illusion the stock is moving up???

All these years I thought that when the buyers keep buying at higher and higher prices and you see price going higher and higher, the price is actually going up. Now come to find out this might be nothing more than an illusion and the actual price could be going down while we see it going up???

    (Sorry, couldn't resist... :D )

  3. I take my hat off to you, you are one of the best traders, foremost experts and a real person many of us admire. Let me explain that because it does sound stupid now that you mention it.

I have my orders to sell at $4.60 on ARCA, NASD and EDGX and all kinds of volume is going off at $4.60 so who are they using? Their passing by my shares at $4.60 with trades hitting $4.68, how can they bypass my me if I am on all the ECNs? Is this because of the IEX or another Exchange I am not aware of? When I have 15,000 shares and the stock is at $4.70 with shares posting (I think its a Nasdaq Print) while I am still not filled one share After-Hours, what would you call it? Their not late prints or Market Makers clearing their books like THIRD Exchange and Philly use to do late.

Maybe you can explain how their able to bypass all the ECNs and have the Time and Sales showing the stock going up without touching the Major ECNs? The prints are strange, how do they do this?

Its like the old days right? What other Exchanges allow this? I remember that little trick with Island (CINN), remember how you could hit the option "Keep it in the Book" and Island would jump above ARCA, INCA, BTRD and TRAC's ECN showing prints $.30-$1.00 above the current offer?

I like a good mystery and you are one of the most respected Traders here, can you tell me how their doing this? Thank you Sir!

  9. Yum should have some volatility in future earnings cycles thanks to this move.

  10. Volatility dies down very quickly - within days if YUM trades relatively flat. These earnings will have no affect on the options for next earnings.
