I implemented trailing buy Stop on 50% of my short position from 2755 Cost Basis... which was hit at 2602... 35 Cars x 153 Handles... I will carry remainder into my target zone 2400-2450 & look to reestablish full position should Bullys Rip it north & kiss that TL as we have plenty of air up top to fill & squeeze remaining shorts. I`m leery of Inside Day that was printed today & was precisely why I decided to tighten the reins & trim my size... Gut feel... This game of observation = constant reevaluation! -Steve

Two questions if you don't mind: 1. Can you automatize it? Or do you have to judge the entry conditions personally and do it manually? 2. Since you are swing trading, do you watch the market all day, just in case? Or can you leave it alone for days and do whatever you want?
Pull back missed my pyramid scale buy limits from 00 to 95.. Caught my buy cover @ 02 ... by 2 ticks from swing lo... Originally had 42 to buy stop at 02 .. putting me net long but tweaked it to my conservative scale buy style that i implement into a zone.
zones I'm looking at 2530-2580-2600-2630-2660-2710-2740(this one is overhead TL). 2630 is good intermediate term retrace for a long.
1. Have not automated it... Gave my "system" to family friend who works for NY Fed last 22 yrs.. writes algo systems for them... interested to see what he comes up with, don`t think I`ll ever trust it. 2. I see the markets with much more clarity when i`m away from it.. I have it down to when I need to get away to not be influenced out of a position or when to do something constructive... Longer term outlook benefits me on both short term and long term windows... Always has....
Re: Thursday Nite 4/5.... Checked my screens & I was just given a gift... Resting buy limit was hit at last meaningful support at 2620.50... I`m offered at 39.50 for 50%... remaining 10 cars will ride with stop at even. I always adjust resting buy & sell GTC limits way off the market at RTH session close. You would be surprised at how many times I`m hit & wake up profitable the next morning. Iv`e been doing this since `01 & continue to do it till this day & this is reason why... always 2 ticks above & 2 ticks below the whole numbers. Offered out at 39.50 & Hit on the overnight PA. Done at 2639.50 20c x 19h.... +19
