Diamonds that come from mines, or "natural" diamonds, as some like to call them, are going to become commodities in a few years. Fake diamonds (made of materials such as cubic zirconium) are getting better and better each year, and there are now many labs that even produce artificial diamonds.
Women can tell the difference, and I've never met one that would be willing to accept a CZ in lieu of the real mccoy!
