I've started looking at DIA options, and I noticed that (at least according to Streamer), trades seem to be going on after hours. (Today, for example, up until 17:17:19). The CBOE web site for DIA options says the trading hours go through 15:15 central. Can we really trade them after 4:15?
I've never found a way to initiate a trade after about 15:01 central time. I thought those were earlier trades just getting posted and settled before the close...as happens with stocks after the bell that print "out of sequence". If you find a way, please let me know.
can you trade DIA , SPY , QQQ options after hours however one can trade the outright equities until 8 pm or e mini futures round the clock
You can trade them pre-market too. But watch those bid/ask spreads - sometimes 60-80% wide (eg: $0.80 - $1.40) - you have zero chances! After Enron and Wcom, these guys should be the next one!
