There is too much voter apathy.
And the Democrats and Republicans both understand it.
And this is partly why they are able to manipulate the system.

There's nothing crazy about calling this 1930's, Nazi Germany. They passed similar law, then. Listen, all these laws allow Americans to be drug off by military and put in camps or prisons. Read the NDAA. No right to a lawyer or trial, for Americans. Now this bill. The Government is setting the table to wage war against a certain class of citizen, just like the Germans did. In Germany it was Jews and Gypsies. Here, it will be "terrorists" and their "associated forces". Again, look at the language, it's intentionally broad. Congress swore up and down the Patriot Act would never be used against American citizens for felonies. Guess what? It has been. Thousands of times. From drug cases, to theft, to everything else.

As far as calling for an armed revolution, I didn't say that. I am asking you point blank - what is the Militarys role here? You swore an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, right? So what does the Military do when Congress pass laws that strip Americans of their Rights? Is that not an assault against the Constitution? If not, then what is an assault against the Constitution?

AFAIK, the only time the Constitution can be legally changed is with an amendment. I don't see any amendments here. What if the Supreme Court upholds all this shit? The Supreme Court ruled blacks were only 2/3rds human. The Supreme Court ruled the Government can force Americans to buy insurance, under Obamacare. Where in the Constitution does it say the Government can force Americans to buy things? What happens if the Supreme Court rules it's "constitutional" for the Government to throw Americans in the brig, forever, without a lawyer or trial, and strip them of their citizenship, and assassinate them? Everybody reading this thread knows that's straight up treason against the Bill of Rights and the American People. So what then? Do we let the Supreme Court tell us up is down, left is right, and evil is "Constitutional"? What do we do then?

And let me clarify, I in no way, shape or form endorse violence against anyone. I want only a peaceful revolution. I don't want anybody to get hurt, nor am i encouraging violence against anyone else. Just so we're damn clear.

This is the economic argument i make around here, but few listen. I suppose fewer understand. We are headed for a shit storm of galactic proportions, regarding the debt, Europe (arguably, Japan, as well). This will only take a few more years to hit the wall and fully manifest, if that. By my calculations, the US is deficient by around 20-25% gdp. No alex jones there. America surfed a tidal wave of borrowed credit for the past 40 years. Without it, the "bandaid" comes off. Except its a tourniquet. Anyway, we're really fucked, economically. And now the legal angle. I see economic warfare waged here. I see 30 years of premeditated deindustrialization and the offsetting accumulation of debt meant to lull this country into sleep while our inheritance took the slow boat to China. I think Congress wanted control, all along. Iow, i don't see these police state bills as reactionary. More like their end game. The economy was part of that. They want to rule over us. So they make us weak, dependent, sell our jobs to china, weave the legal noose, then when the economy collapses, we are jobless, totally dependent, with no Rights to stand on. Basically, slaves. It's a dictatorship.

Nobody wants violence, including you and me.
But, people said the same thing in 1776.
How is change going to come about in this country?
    The vote?
Constitutional change promoted by what few decent people we may have in D.C.?
    Or what?

  7. A rotating dictatorship, but a dictatorship nonetheless. Didn't the President just circumvent Congress yet again to make appointments?

I mean what's the big deal right, he's already circumvented the Constitution to extra-judicially murder a US citizen so this is peanuts. And as the incremental-ism inches forward, we get further away from the nation of laws we once were. We have become what we beheld and it was by design. Further, most Americans refuse to see it or acknowledge it, and by the time it becomes so obvious that they are forced to bear witness, it will of course be too late. Maybe, it's already too late.

Yet in spite of all this evidence of the direction this country is moving, there are those that, for indecipherable reasons, seem to welcome it.

Too many folks working for the government.
The numbers and their pay are out-of-control!
Now add in all those on welfare; i.e. foodstamps and unending unemployment benefits.
We have become a foodstamp nation.
    Why work??

Ya, I saw that. We're real far down the rat-hole now. Whenever Barack flouts Congress, or Congress flouts the Constitution, nobody bats an eye. Zero reaction. It's normal now. The new normal. I watched that phag Obama announce his move last night at the highschool, of all places. Wondrous applause. Dear Leader axed Congress for the American People. He did it for you and me. He wasn't going to let big bad Congress get in the way of helping the American People, dammit. That's why he ran for election, he reminded us - to "help" America. Ya, that guy has really "helped" us. Then there was Bachmans resignation speech. Call it a CNN day. The Constitution, the Founding Fathers, Obamacare will destroy the Country. Obamacare? Of all things, that woman picks fucking OBamacare. I should have known. That's been her mantra all along, and probably why she never picked up votes - people got tired of her broken record. Anyway, it's just mind numbing seeing these phucking people sell this crap. Obamacare

For sure. More people receive Government benefits, than not. We're a nation of parasites. Honestly, it speaks to the character of the nation. There's a lot of lazy, cowards out there who don't care about anything, so long as they get their "bennies". It's a big reason why we're so far down the rat-hole.
