Sorta my point. But, unfortunately, most of today's Americans are so MSM braindead, they label as a "kook" anyone who truly is in favor of the Constitution. Incredible.
And I am in total agreement. Terrorists ought to be charged with treason, given a jury trial, and if convicted, punished by death. McVeigh, Unibomber, KSM etc. See, there's a lot of common ground between you and I. Between the traditional right, and Libertarians. Now what happens when Congress pass laws that strip Americans of their Constitutional Rights? What does that mean, in legal terms? And what does that mean for the Men and Woman of the Armed Forces who swore an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States? IOW, where do we go from here?
I'm pretty much an isolationist. Although, maybe not as much as Ron Paul. But, I will say that Ron Paul hasn't been questioned in depth about his isolationist views; at least not to my satisfaction.
Isolationism: is the policy or doctrine of isolating one's country from the affairs of other nations by declining to enter into alliances, foreign economic commitments, foreign trade, international agreements, etc., seeking to devote the entire efforts of one's country to its own advancement and remain at peace by avoiding foreign entanglements and responsibilities. Non-interventionism â Says that political rulers should avoid entangling alliances with other nations and avoid all wars not related to direct territorial differences (self-defense). However, most non-interventionists are supporters of free trade, travel, and support certain international agreements, and therefore differ from isolationists. Ron Paul is part of the second group. The real difference is Ron Paul will not seek to nation build or start wars of aggression (disguised as preemptive wars).
Apparently. Anyway. I don't know what to say. Honestly, I think we should start a superpac. I know there's some big swinging dicks on this site. Would any of you guys want to do that?
It means the laws need to be rendered unconstitutional by the Supreme Court and we need to elect better people. Martinghoul made an excellent point: Who got you into the mess then? Did the politicians elect themselves? Who should be responsible for the errors/sins of your elected officials, if not the people who voted for them? As for the military, if any of you are suggesting we're anywhere near the point that the military needs to overthrow the government, you've gone off the deep end. I keep seeing nonsense like, we're like nazi Germany now and that's crazy talk. Which BTW I support your right to say under the First Amendment.
