DHS Buys Even More Hollow Point Ammo

    Austerity may be on the way which could result in unrest. That might be what they are preparing for.

    On the other hand:

    Maybe they just want to keep ammo back ordered and off the shelves. Shelves are bare where I live. Either way, nothing to fear because gov is always good...just ask any lib.

  2. I would hope the congress would be asking these questions.

    This purchase was of pistol calibre rounds, ie 9 Mill and .40. Most submachine guns use that kind of round. It is unlikely anyone could burn throught that much ammo in pistols, so you have to assume this is for subguns.

    One possibility is that it it meant ultimately for transfer to groups somewhere overseas. Why else would wartime quantities be involved?

    Another possibility is they are worrying about a virtual invasion from the south, brought on by perhaps a natural disaster or a total breakdown in order. Border patrol agents are armed with AR's though, not submachine guns.

    Maybe they have a plan to clamp down on inner city violence in places like Chicago by stationing armed personnel on every corner. Doesn't sound like the kind of move Obama would make though.

  5. I just pointed out how you were obviously trying to instigate, if you want to deny it, whatever.

    I didn't say the DHS doesn't have the 'right' to purchase ammo, I asked WHY they need it. Are they expecting a Red Dawn like scenario where paratroopers drop all over the nation? Is it just for training? Are they prepping for a civil war that doesn't exist? Or are they getting ready to enforce laws that are virtually certain to cause an uprising? I have no idea, but don't they work for us, the people paying the bills, don't we have a right to know WHY the fuck they need that much ammo?

    It should be obvious that if the fed govt decided they were just going to, for instance, confiscate everyone's firearms that it would get real ugly. Not only is owning guns a Right, not only has the SC ruled it an individual right, but every single generation, from even before the US was officially formed, has owned firearms. Like I said, talk about confiscation does make some, and should make any private citizen weary of this admin and the fed govt in general.

    First you are reading incorrectly the statement by the founders that "All men are created equal." They are saying that all men are created with equal rights, not equal abilities nor equal outcomes.

    But that discussion has nothing to do with the fact that the founders believed it was the duty and the right of men to rid themselves of a government that they believed was no longer working for them.

    2.IN MY OPINION They probably feel they need it because of people saying things like this and they want to be prepared in case people like this follow through with their threats

    3.I dont think the gov ever had intentions to disarm everyone nor do I think it will ever happen but legally The Constitution can be changed to outlaw guns(no I don't support that)
