I just wanted to tell people who were following this thread and have not seen any activity that I have been involved with finishing TradersStudio 2.0. We plan on shipping the product next week. After we start shipping, I plan on continuing this course and completing it for everyone. I am sorry for the delay but, making sure that TradersStudio 2.0 was everything I promised it would be took most of my time. I hope you take a look at our web site. We have totally updated it for TraderStudio 2.0. We are still adding new content to the site so keep checking back regularly.
Your web site states: "Real time version due out soon". Can you give a realistic estimate when the real time version will ship? I assume the RT version will support automatic trading with IB? Richard
The end of day with intra-day backtesting, it is kind of a off line product is due out next week. Real time with order placement is due out this fall.
I urge anyone who is interested in testing their systems on a basket of commodities or stocks to take a hard look at TradersStudio. I downloaded the version2 beta and it is so intuitive that I was backtesting systems on baskets of stocks within 30 minutes even though the user manual isn't out yet. The built in language help provides enough information to help with any language syntax issues. The easylanguage migration tool makes converting TradeStation systems trivial. Something you sure can't say about amibroker or wealth-lab. Even though it's a reality new product, I think they are well on their way to having the premier platform for developing trading systems.
Thank you for you nice words. We plan on releasing 2.0 next week. After that I should have some more time ,so we will finish the course on system development we started a few months ago.
Murray, Will the real time product be the evolution of the off line product or will they be completely different products? I don't need real time. But I also don't want to get sidelined into a different product from everyone else. Xephen
I noticed that there has been a little activity on this thread in the last month or so. Are you going to start posting here again sometime in the near future? I have been following your threads with interest until the posts stopped several months ago.
I am going to restart this course soon. I am going to move all the important stuff over to a new thread and put the link here. Please review what we have discussed so far and put together some questions for when I am ready to start again. Just post them here when you think of them and I will make sure to address them.
Murray, I have been following the ORB thread with interest, because I have a market opening bracket trade strategy that I trade with various futures products. Could a person build up a ten day rolling average ORB measurement "indicator" for different products with Traders Studio. If I have a choice of ten different products to trade at the various world market opens - then I could pick 5 of the 10 products to trade based upon their higher market open "reaction" or ORB indicator reading. Is this something that could be done with Traders Studio? Thanks!
