Naturally the market is buoyed up by inflation. I am disheartened by the realization that nearly all of the economic rescue measures taken so far seem to have as much potential to be harmful in the long run as they do to be helpful in the short run. It seems the fundamental problem underlying many of the others in the US is that we turned a blind eye when too many people took too much out of the economy relative to their productivity.
