Though it points to lessor factors in the city's evolution (and it is evolution, it will be there in 50, 100 years. Different, but still there).

 

I thought the plan was to shut down the fire department and just let the city burn to the ground then rebuild. Imagine all the jobs that would create!

 

Isn't that a fact! His dream is to bring America to it's knees with his "change," then "re-building" America through his eyes... The Son of a card-carrying communist daddy, and product of socialist friends from birth til' today is doing just that as we do nothing about it...

They have a ready made excuse Detroiters have been using for years. It's all the fault of the white racist suburbanites for leaving Detroit (the racists) and the rest of the Michigan for not sending Detroit more money (those racist bastards!)

Plus probably all the racists in the rest of the country. Especially of The One doesn't bail `em out. Everybody knows he wants to, and the only reason he might not is because of all the racists that would be upset about a black president bailing out a black city (#@*&ing racists!!!)

 

It may be completely recaptured by nature by then, but yes, the area of Detroit will still be there.

 

Much like the demise of America. Our dirt will still be there, but it will be owned by somebody else.
