Thanks for the honesty and transparency. Does your opinion now change about how you said the top is in? Also, if you weren't grabbing coffee, what would have you done? Would you have exited your positions in that first minute after the tweet? Or would you have reversed your positions?
Win some lose some... to me its still more impressive than a sim contest where many or most participants are prob just swinging wildly for the fences.
Well, I recall Dest mentioned that if there is a big drop, he will also benefit; however, apparently he did not plan for big jump. I do not know whether I understood correctly. " Dest's "Trade Against a Pro" Trading Challenge The vol where it is... I don't think I'll be able to bust $30K in gains this week, unless we get a sudden drop in the mkt. I would have been out on the touch of 3148 cash and reversed in a bull diagonal. Still up $440K in the IRA. I should have carried my iPad with me, but I was long at work and lax in monitoring this account. I had gone long four futures before leaving my desk which is what I do to get flat delta shortly (minutes) before closing the position.
Be careful...that fresh air could cost you your spot on the leader board. Seriously, donuts break, toilet break, coffee break, tea break (U.K.)...weird things happens while your away. wrbtrader
I believe Dest was suggesting a big drop would cause a spike in vol which he could benefit from. Not necessarily a directional bet on a drop in the market.
I'm hitting 96% Win Loss Ratio .. most trades ~1200-1500. My brain is so wired, I see the patterns, very little variance from entry in terms of MAE, but it comes at a price, brain gets fried for a bit. I reset it or I'll make a mistake, I should have been #1 or 2, but made a sloppy mistake.
