I was out last week.

Short NQ 540. Buying 485.

 

I am glad I am long in the Dow then, since we are seeing divergence this week.

 

I am out. -10. I know better than to trade spec in front of a holiday.

 

Something in my gut says we will see a VIX spike after July 4th holiday. That week, or week after. I do not know why. Just a feeling. VIX spikes are your sandbox I believe.

 

Yeah, VIX seems too low. Also, imp vol on SPY options seems awfully low to me.

 

As an aside (and I mentioned this in some other thread a while ago...), I do not feel the VIX will ever reach it's historical low of ~9.x. If it does? Holy cow! Load up on long VIX stuff!

 

re VIX agree it's overdone sub 18, bought UVXY on 2day high breakout today for swing. VIX spike inevitable, trick is timing it.
