Describe a trading-related app worth developing

Discussion in 'App Development' started by Dave S., Sep 4, 2020.

  1. Hello Dave,
I noticed someone replied that the only app worthwhile was one that could "look into the future". That made me grin a bit.
I have something special to share. Let me know if you`d like to see some preliminary charts/ results.

Java isn't the issue. ThinkOrSwim is built on Java and it's responsive. I built my own software on Java for charting, scanning, trade recommendation, semi-automated order entry, and portfolio management and I don't have any issues with lag. I've even thought about offering parts of the software as a subscription product, but I figure if it is as useful to others as it is to me, then larger brokers would just copy it.

An analysis of $TIKI data from the TRFs. You might find you'd want to trade it rather than selling it, but a thorough view would be valuable. Parsing hidden liquidity would also be of high value. It's all available, but it's expensive to feed.

If it was integrated with a portfolio tracking module, it could determine if one’s SL’s were too tight, time frame or risk level was appropriate.
