Republican? DeSantis will not arrest you for voter fraud.

Yep, Florida Man refuses to arrest Republican who illegally voted in four elections, forces the FBI to arrest them instead.

DeSantis Conveniently Missed This Case in His Voter Fraud Crusade
A registered Republican illegally voted in two presidential elections prior to becoming a U.S. citizen, the feds allege.

Why, of course, he did. No surprise here. This is how authoritarians operate.

Florida passes bill benefiting Elon Musk day after DeSantis 2024 announcement on Twitter

DeSantis Signs Bill Shielding Musk’s SpaceX From ‘Spaceflight Entity Liability’

So if one of Musk's continually failing spaceships crashes in Florida killing and maiming people... then no liability. What a fine deal.

Hey, Floridians hope you enjoy space junk from Musk crashing on your roof.

The Authoritarian begging for money in an unethical manner... here is my surprised face.

DeSantis Officials Raise Eyebrows With Campaign Cash Pleas: Report
    https://www.thedailybeast.com/desantis-officials-raise-eyebrows-with-campaign-cash-pleas-report-says

Officials from Gov. Ron DeSantis’ administration have been texting lobbyists with business before the state and asking for political donations—a breach of campaign finance norms that raises legal and ethical concerns, according to a report from NBC News.

Traditionally, a candidate’s political operations are walled off from the employees of that candidate’s currently held office—especially a sitting governor who still has line-item veto power over items in the state budget, which DeSantis has yet to complete. Whether the state employees’ actions are illegal is unclear, but nearly a dozen lobbyists who spoke with NBC News said it raised ethical concerns that are impossible to ignore.

“At a minimum, even if they are sitting in their home at 9 p.m. using their personal phone and contacting lobbyists that they somehow magically met in their personal capacity and not through their role in the governor’s office, it still smells yucky,” one election law attorney told the network. “There’s a misuse of public position issue here that is obvious to anyone paying attention.”

At least one official confirmed that they and their colleagues were fundraising for DeSantis’ campaign, and denied that they had engaged in any wrongdoing.

After a mere four months, looks like a lawyer with common sense wants no part of DeSantis' Disney Oversight Board -- once he finds out that Disney will personally sue him and the state won't pitch in a dime to defend him. Every once in a while, people wise up that authoritarians like DeSantis will hang them out to dry.

Michael Sasso Resigns from DeSantis’ Central Florida Tourism Oversight District Board
    https://wdwnt.com/2023/05/michael-s...ral-florida-tourism-oversight-district-board/

Less than four months after its formation, one member of the controversial Central Florida Tourism Oversight District Board of Supervisors has already resigned his post — Michael Sasso.

Sasso was one of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ original appointees to the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District Board of Supervisors, which replaced the former Reedy Creek Improvement District board in February. An experienced lawyer, Sasso is a partner at the firm which carries his name — Sasso & Sasso — in Orlando.

His term was set to expire in February 2027, making his resignation remarkably premature. Spectrum News 13 anchor Greg Angel confirmed the news today on his Twitter account.

So if you don't want DeSantis to remove the budget item you lobbied for via his line item veto then you better cough up money for his campaign. This is how authoritarians operate.

DeSantis Holding State Budget Hostage While His Staffers Solicit Donations to His Presidential Campaign from Lobbyists
    https://www.mediaite.com/politics/d...-to-his-presidential-campaign-from-lobbyists/

Staffers for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) have been soliciting donations to his presidential campaign from lobbyists while the state budget sits on the governor’s desk and each line item is facing the threat of his veto pen, according to a new bombshell report.

NBC News’ Matt Dixon and Jonathan Allen note right away that these are staffers who work directly for the governor’s official, taxpayer-funded office and agencies, not the campaign, and that this activity is “a breach of traditional norms that has raised ethical and legal questions and left many here in the state capital shocked.”

According to the report, four separate DeSantis administration officials, “including those directly in the governor’s office and with leadership positions in state agencies,” sent text messages to lobbyists requesting a contribution to DeSantis’ federal presidential campaign account using a “bundle” program link, which tracked who helped secure the donation.
