Yeh sure, we have heard that from you and your ilk before. Now Mickey is waiving bye-bye to someone. Is it Chapek or DeSantis? You can get back to me later.
The breathtaking authoritarianism and cluelessness of Qatar -- including banning beer against their hosting agreement when Budweiser is a major sponsor to not allowing rainbows on shirts to stopping people from playing soccer outside a stadium to refusing to take police reports from females about robberies -- has been on full display this week at the World Cup. This absurd display does bring up one good point about the mirror authoritarianism of Ron DeSantis. Chapek needed to go....nothing to do with Ronnie... some changes needed..if you follow Disney stock this.was coming long before Ron
I don't disagree that Chapek had to go. Iger will need to deal with the film/movie/tv business first which is enduring chaos and financial losses. The theme parks are in much better shape.
Problem is the Marvel golden era is waning which was a huge revenue booster. The Star Wars Galaxy Cruise experience which was that 2 day immersive hotel thing was priced close to $5000 a person.... was waaay overpriced and had numerous cancellations. Was a great idea but priced horribly. Disney+ programming is waning after finishing Mandalorian and Boba Fett stories. Andor sucks and new ones are so obscure and far from the well known cannon they dont have the same following. Parks are undergoing some renovations but costs keep rising and so is the price. Lot of little areas that have been suffering regardless of COVID. Same thing happened in the 1980s and Disney needed a reboot in its product. Was a godo idea to make a statement and fire this CEO and bring back Iger.
The "authoritarian" in Florida is concerned with people's rights in China, while the Freedom Fighters in the White House say the protesters can speak for themselves. But if you're an NPC, it makes sense!
Ron DeSantis displays the Republican commitment to the free market and corporate autonomy- unless the company does something they don't like. You know like not wanting applications on their platform associated with endless hate speech. DeSantis says Congress should act if Apple follows through on Elon Musk claims and bans Twitter from App Store https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/tech...s-and-bans-twitter-from-app-store/ar-AA14HsSW
