Exactly. No one comes here in the summer for crying out loud. I mean, there might be some folks taking a vacation during the summer months because school is out, but given travel restrictions and what is going on in Florida, I highly doubt that is a large number.
Trump on again today about the testing, has no one told him how dumb that makes him sound. He seems to think that if you don't test, the cases don't actually exist. Someone needs to tell him that the double slit experiment doesn't apply to covid.
And enough with the we got the best tests in the world......it is the same test all around the world...they swab your nose in China, Italy and Spain just like in the U.S.. we did not invent some miraculous test that did not exist before.... "best tests anywhere".... yet COVID cases are exploding so maybe we stop focusing on how well we test for the people that are catching it and just stop the people from spreading it a little...
I don't, but basically said testing was working too well because it's finding thousands and thousands of cases. He also said something that was pretty funny, said the ink wasn't even dry on the trade deal and they hit us with 'the plague'. found it, it's not as bad the rant about half as many test we would have half the case, but enough with the we are doing too many tests. https://www.cbsnews.com/video/trump-talks-coronavirus-and-policing-in-exclusive-interview/
Thanks for posting that. But they cut away from the comment so it is difficult to know precisely what he was talking about. In the short clip, I agree it sounds ridiculous. The real stupid comments were about mothers and children dying....from...what exactly? From not going to school? How does that work? Sheesh, he sounds like such an idiot.
Big spike in reported deaths this morning. Shown in this chart, just keep in mind they did not all occur on this day, in fact, very few did. That doesn't change the overall number reported though. It just makes the chart look overly ugly. Of course I'm sure the news articles will be all over it today trumpeting about all the dead people in Florida. As a reference, this is about the same number that die in Florida from cancer every day. Case count dropped for a second day, but again, these one day next day volatility issues in the reporting don't really provide much of value. Would be nice if it was turning the corner, but there is no evidence to suggest that. Meanwhile the scandal in Florida about how labs are reporting only positive cases continues to grow. But what do you expect from the state that brought you the dimpled chad back in 2000?
