He had such a "winning" team for his complete failure of a Presidential campaign. What politician in his right mind would bring this set of utter bunglers back into state offices? There are "A" teams then there is this "F" team. DeSantis hires back members of his campaign staff as he reassembles Florida government team https://www.heraldpalladium.com/new...cle_9e7122dd-1fa7-5400-a24a-43b1875656ec.html A month after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis suspended his campaign for president, some of the most prominent members of his political team are returning to his administration with taxpayer-funded jobs. Christina Pushaw, who became well-known for her extremely online persona as the DeSantis campaign’s rapid response director, will be serving as a senior analyst for the governor. While the office has yet to comment on what her job duties are, records show she will be earning an annual salary of $155,000. Bryan Griffin, who served as the presidential campaign’s press secretary, is back serving as the governor’s communications director. He is earning $160,000, records show. And last month, James Uthmeier, who worked as the campaign manager for DeSantis’ failed bid for president, returned to his role of chief of staff. His annual salary is roughly $196,000. “We’re getting the band back together,” Griffin posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Tuesday. The re-hires show how DeSantis is regrouping with nearly three years left in his second term in office and how he is surrounding himself with individuals who have a history of focusing on many of the governor’s political priorities. Since suspending his presidential campaign, DeSantis has renewed his focus on the pandemic, school book challenges and immigration — policy issues that have been key parts of his political platform. And on Tuesday, DeSantis is holding an official event in South Carolina — days before the state’s GOP presidential primary. Pushaw, for example, rose to prominence in national GOP circles after she was hired as DeSantis’ press secretary in 2022. It was her first job in American government, according to her resume. And within months, she reinvented the position — which at the time paid her $120,000 — by aggressively going after Democrats, the governor’s critics and reporters. The governor’s office did not comment on Pushaw’s hire. But Pushaw said it would involve working on “communications and digital projects.”
just curious, but do you have anything other than a supposed permission slip that someone filled out to support that this is a requirement in any way? I mean, just because someone wrote something on a permission slip - supposedly - doesn't mean that's an actual requirement. It could be a joke. It could be satire. It could be a misunderstanding. Etc.
That's what they should do. They should support the party's chosen representitive. You guys are clowns.
How come whenever there is a list for where Covid is the worst -- Florida always ranks number 1 on the list. I guess DeStantis "wins" at something -- like Covid deaths and hospitalizations (on both a per capita and raw basis). I remember back earlier in the pandemic when clowns on ET were posting that Florida only had a higher rate of Covid during summer because so many people were inside in the AC to avoid the heat --- and that was the only reason the Covid rate was so high in Florida. Well once again it is winter when the residents of Florida should be outside enjoying the weather and avoiding Covid -- but naturally the Covid rates in Florida are number 1. It does not matter the season -- Covid is high in Florida due to the policies of DeSantis and Ladapo denying science and effectively trying to kill off the residents of the state. Florida leads the nation with Covid hospital admissions of 8.77 per 100,000 residents. Let's see the latest "winning" by DeSantis as disease spreads across the state. Florida is swamped by disease outbreaks as quackery replaces science The state is in the grip of a measles outbreak, yet Joseph Ladapo, the surgeon general, continues to ignore medical science to stop it https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/mar/03/florida-measles-outbreak-preventable
I guess it was DeSantis and Ladapo who also made it possible for Philly to experience the same outbreak that Broward County did, right? You're such a yambag, NPC. Both the outbreaks in Broward county, Florida, and Philadelphia made news after children brought the disease into the wider community. Six children grew sick at Manatee Bay elementary in Florida, and nine in Philadelphia after a child went to a daycare while infected.
Looks like the GOP is Florida is done with DeSantis' "woke" crusade being used a prop to drive his failed presidential campaign political narrative. It is time to address real issues actually facing residents of Florida. Maybe they can start with the property insurance crisis. Are Florida Republicans breaking from DeSantis?
