Leadership means not stepping on the bug and opening the window to let the fly get away rather than swatting it. All you’re saying is DeSantis is too thin skinned to make reasonable decisions.
No, that's all you're saying. I don't feel that way at all. What I'm saying is that politicians all over and on both sides have, throughout time, used the power of their office to force private citizens and companies to do their bidding, applying pressure in various ways that you might agree with or not agree with depending on your political leaning. I'm also saying that, as a CEO of Disney, Chapek should have known better.
The corporate State considers that private enterprise in the sphere of production is the most effective and usefu [sic] [typo-should be: useful] instrument in the interest of the nation. In view of the fact that private organisation of production is a function of national concern, the organiser of the enterprise is responsible to the State for the direction given to production. State intervention in economic production arises only when private initiative is lacking or insufficient, or when the political interests of the State are involved. This intervention may take the form of control, assistance or direct management. (pp. 135-136) Benito Mussolini, 1935, Fascism: Doctrine and Institutions, Rome: ‘Ardita’ Publishers.
Obama's Justice Department must have read that. One of many examples. Justice Department settles with conservative groups over IRS scrutiny https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...vative-groups-over-irs-scrutiny-idUSKBN1CV1TY
I like snark. But it doesn't change anything I mentioned. Chapek (not Iger, I wasn't thinking) shouldn't have gotten involved. He did so because the left pressured him to do so.
Are we talking cowboy boots? Because all cowboy boots have heels. Besides, don't you like crossdressers?
