I wonder how many doses of the vaccine for young children have reached Florida? Oh, we know the answer to this -- the number is ZERO. Once again the parents and children of Florida have the poor policies of the DeSantis administration inflicted on them. So much for the GOP rhetoric that parents should make health choices for their children rather than the government. In the meantime other states will start providing vaccinating young children on Wednesday of this week. First shipments of COVID vaccine for kids 6 months+ reach North Carolina https://www.cbs17.com/news/first-shipments-of-covid-vaccine-for-kids-6-months-reach-north-carolina/
Well -- all 49 other states applied. Florida did not. So Florida is getting ZERO thanks to DeSantis. Tell us -- whatever happened to parents being allowed to make decisions regarding their children's health and not having the government make decisions for them?
You mean every time you post an article from a new source that hates him as much as you, and has gone out of their way to show an unflattering expression.
But that's not correct. You're equating ordering from the federal government with available vaccines. That's not the only place vaccines come from, NPC! As for parents being able to make decisions, they still can. All they have to do is tell their medical provider (doctor, etc) that they want the vaccine and voila! They get it! And when you say "tell us", who is "us"? You and your cats? Florida just isn't spending state resources on it. Vaccines are widely available, there's no shortage. I understand this is a narrative you want to push, but as usual, its bullshit.
Wonder why so many local media outlets in Florida dislike DeSantis so much. Is it him having his press secretary, Christina Pushaw, urging her followers to hunt down and harass reporters? Is it that DeSantis' failed public health policy led to a huge vaccine death toll in Florida while vaccines were readily available? Was it DeSantis' continuous attempts to act as an authoritarian and undermine democracy to promote his presidential ambitions? There are so many quite proper reasons for any reasonable person to dislike DeSantis.
For the same reason you dislike him so much. You (and the FL media) called for COVID to be horrible, so many would die, and we had to close the economy. DeSantis ignored your hysteria, opened his economy and put the freedom of his citizens above the hysteria. And because he proved all you folks wrong, you hate his guts. Its even worse for you because you see how many people see how popular he is, so you need to do your best to assassinate his character. He's a danger to your Religion™. But try as you might, you can't seem to stop his momentum. So sorry this is happening to you. And if the definition of a "reasonable person" is someone like you, I thank God I am not reasonable in your eyes.
Except that all the initial lots of the vaccine for young children are distributed to states via their pre-orders -- so the state will allocate the currently available doses. Florida ordered NONE. It will be awhile before doctors and pharmacies get any directly allocated doses. Seeing that pharmacies will not be allowed to vaccinate children aged 6 months to 3 years, pediatricians not having doses is a significant issue.
Show me evidence - any evidence at all - of shortages in vaccine availability in Florida. Anything you've got (this will also be met with silence).
Show us a single example of a location in Florida providing vaccination to young children on the start date of Wednesday, June 22nd.
