Just one of the outstanding lawsuits. Note it will be re-filed in State Court. The federal judge simply stated it was a state level issue.
"Just a minor setback..." Just means there's the chance I get to laugh at you even more later on. You see, if you didn't make all these predictions and prognostications with such certainty, you wouldn't look like a horse's ass all the time. You let your hatred for the man (because he made you look the clown during the pandemic) blind you. I don't know what the future brings, and I don't know if DeSantis will pull it off or not (the tax thing). So I'm not going to claim he will unless its relatively certain (like the election appears to be).
Well teh ruling is that the 3rd party citizens do not have standing to sue as the law passed by DeSantis is directed at Disney and any claims of damage to the citizens is just not ripe yet. therefore the suit was dismissed on procedural grounds which seem correct, not because the court sided with DeSantis on the law. this is important and is missed on the headline only news cycle.
DeSantis-appointed judge declares Florida redistricting map unconstitutional over Black voter suppression A judge appointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) has reportedly decided that a redistricting map created by Florida Republicans is unconstitutional. CNN correspondent Dianne Gallagher reported that Florida Circuit Court Judge Layne Smith determined "that a new congressional map approved by Gov. Ron DeSantis is likely unconstitutional, siding with Democrats and voting rights groups who said the map would illegally suppress Black voters in northern Florida." The judge indicated that he would issue an order preventing the map from going into effect "because it diminishes African Americans' ability to elect the representative of their choice," Gallagher said. Smith suggested that congressional maps that DeSantis had previously vetoed could be used as a model for new maps.
Oh... yet another legal loss for DeSantis. How many is this now? There have been dozens. Has he hit the triple digit mark in legal losses now?
That wasn't the point. The point was how a certain NPC told us Florida's dollars would all be wasted defending a lawsuit (and then hinted DeSantis would then lose) that was quickly dismissed (for whatever reason). Judging by how you involve yourself into the discussion to defend his points but never to challenge them, I have to assume you were under the same belief he was.
Of course, a question asking you to show the number of cases and the number of cases he "lost" would be met with absolute silence...right? You know, to prove the triple digit claim.
And it is being quickly re-filed and this is not the only suit. Just how much in Florida tax dollars is DeSantis going to waste driving his vengeful initiative to help position himself for a Presidential run. All of this Disney action by DeSantis is detrimental to Florida and other Republicans have criticized him for his idiocy in attempting to punish Disney.
