So you are basically saying that DeSantis' DOE is being less than transparent and will not release the list of books so people can see what has been rejected. So the only information we have is from publishers/authors saying Florida rejected a math book. Just like the DeSantis' Covid policy -- Florida is hiding the information and data again to avoid outside scrutiny. SAD.
So you're basically saying that because DeSantis is the governor, it must be something he is doing wrong because you hate DeSantis, and the fact that your "theory" about DeSantis hiding COVID data was just as much bullshit as your theory that there is no CRT in any of the math books. YOU are sad. Always have been a sad example of a human being.
Maybe DeSantis can give us a list of the math text books so independent reviewers can evaluate them in regards to containing CRT information. Obviously DeSantis will not do this because his claim will be reviewed as being completely false -- which will hinder his political ambitions. What happened to Florida's Sunshine Laws which require disclosure of this type of information related to government decision making processes.
Maybe he will, maybe he won't. Apparently, only 28 were banned because of CRT. The rest were common core and other issues. What will you do if he does release the books, and examples of things in the books that are clearly CRT? You'll slink away into the shadows and hope no one calls you out on it, right? I give you my word that if the books are released and there is no CRT, I'll gladly admit you were right - without any remorse whatsoever. But until then, MY governor (not yours) has been making the right decisions most of the time, and I'm going to give him a little latitude on this until I see otherwise. Just curious, but if you believe there is no CRT in these books, what DO you believe the reason for banning them is?
These books were rejected by Florida for using Common Core education techniques for mathematics. Florida for over two years has been moving away from Common Core.
Great. So we're back to you hating DeSantis just because, and him promoting this for his political point (like any other politician would do).
We are back to DeSantis releasing state information as required by Florida's Sunshine Law rather than hiding data & information in order to drive his political ambitions.
Ok, so that's a valid complaint - unless he releases it, of course. But the original complaint you (and others) had about CRT blah blah blah is, as I said, horseshit unless otherwise proven. Thanks for playing!
