It is being taught in school. I'm just not aware of it being in a Florida school.

And even if it wasn't being taught (which it is) then why have a problem with it?

Because it’s provocative by implication. You can’t see that?

No, I can't. I see it as securing protection of children's innocence.

Well if you can’t see how it is provocative then there in lies the problem. As I am now reading about this I find it hard to believe you can’t see it’s provocative. I am seeing kids all over florida have walked out and protested this. Are you not aware of that?

This is obviously an issue when it wasn’t. How you can say it hasn’t provoked people is a form of denial.

And now I get the Disney thing too. Man, you guys on the right love to make a mess for no reason.

It's not a problem for me. See, I see the problem being you not being able to see how children need to be protected. You're more concerned about people NOT in Florida being outraged by something like this, while Floridians for the most part (going with poll data) don't give a shit.

I see it as you being OK with teaching sexual issues to PreK students. And that, to me, is a big problem.

So again, you have not shown me children are being taught sexual issues. You’re trying to force me to believe something that you want to be true.

Mercor made it out like there was some transgender teacher telling 1st graders to cut their ducks off. That got my attention because I’d be like fire that teacher ASAP. But it turns out the worst thing is some kids colored a flag in a preschool in Illinois and the rest was Nickelodeon and strange books found on the web. Your case is bullshit. I’m sorry.

Then you denied it’s provocative and I asked myself how disconnected can someone be because as I’m reading up on this I’m seeing it’s disruptive to a lot of the state with kids walking out of school and protesting and there’s a need with Disney now. Come on. It’s obviously provocative.

But you know what this is your problem and as I’m writing this I realized you commented about the Virginia election some time ago and how school issues drove that election and it’s all coming together. Which brings us back to what I originally suspected, it’s a strawman designed to excite the base. DeSantis is wrongly reading the Virginia election and hoping to recreate it in Florida because he won by a very small margin last go around.

Whatever. Last time I went to Disney I dropped $7k on tickets and lodging and Disney was packed. I’d be glad if y’all continue to boycott the parks, might get some space in all that heat.

I'm not trying to get you to believe a single thing. I'm just telling you how I feel. How the majority of parents in the state feel, and how the poll data is working out for DeSantis. Care, don't care, feel, don't feel, agree, don't agree. Doesn't make a bit of difference to me. I would be literally stunned if you actually didn't follow a liberal viewpoint on an issue like this, so the fact that you are against the bill is not surprising.

Quack. I've got lots of examples, but any example I show you is just going to be you giving an excuse or down playing it. If I thought otherwise, I'd just start posting stuff. With the examples I gave already, any one open minded would go "well, there's obviously a push in this direction if books and published materials are being designed for kids, even if it isn't happening in school yet" (which it is).

Anyone truly open to both sides of the conversation would go "Whoa, the number of kids suddenly identifying as trans or queer has gone through the roof, this can't be just a natural occurrence".

But you don't ask how materials such as "Gay B Cs" isn't provocative to parents who are concerned about their children. Oh, no...just provocative to transgenders.

Speaking of Disney...I'm sure you'll tell us why this isn't a big deal.

  8. Republicans are all talk about protecting children but these pedos in Tennessee actually wanted to legalize child marriages.

The gay b c book is not in a school. You’re misrepresenting that.

I don’t know that the number of kids that are gay has gone through the roof. The number of closeted gay kids might have gone down though. There’s an interesting question.

We often think because we’ve oppressed people in the past that they never existed but the truth is some people are just gay. You probably have a couple of buddies who walk around all day in women’s underwear. It’s just the way is.
